'The Big Picture' series

My final project for the course I did in Italy! Titled 'The Big Picture', the series narrates a specific experience that I had during my time in Florence.

I was in Italy this past month and it was an amazing experience! The majority of my stay with my school was at Florence and I was able to paint there every once in a while. Here are two sketches that I worked on while there.

A Decade Later...

 

This was a watercolour assignment for my mixed medias class where we had to draw our assigned portrait in a different era and age. I decided that my subject was a musician who became a cellist and still plays after retiring (and his eye sight slowly getting worse).

My piece for a collage assignment. I chose to do a 'pure collage' which is a collage method where no other media beside paper is used and once it's down, it can't be altered.

I forgot to upload this, but during my first semester, one of my assignments was to explore Oakville and London and find landmarks. The criteria for the landmarks had to be something where you could see a relationship between manmade objects and nature. Everything was drawn by memory, so many of the routes are kind of wonky haha.
